Midsummer Moon, by Laura Kinsale
384 pages
The positive thing about this book is that the main female lead, Merlin Lambourne, is a passionate inventor. She wants to make a flying machine, and she's going to do it. The bad thing about this book is at first she's this fun, quirky character (which I love) and then they baby-fy here into this weird little girl-adult that makes me uncomfortable. It kind of goes away, but it almost ruined it for me.
