mathew and mugo are two boys growing up in 1950's kenya. they go on great adventures, and get into a lot of mischief. the only thing different about the boys, is their skin color. mathew's family are white settlers, and mugo's family are servants to them. but as rebellion grows stronger, the boys have to face the fact they are from different worlds.
